13043 MINUTES of a regular meeting of the Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Skokie, Cook County, Illinois held in the Council Chambers at 5127 Oakton Street at 8 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016 Pledge of Allegiance led by Cub Scout Pack #85 from Middleton School The Clerk called the Roll. Those present were Roberts, Sutker, Ulrich, Bromberg, Klein, and Mayor Van Dusen. Trustee Gray-Keeler was not present. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda. Presentation Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) Presentation by Jason Coyle of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP Jason Coyle of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP gave an overview of the report. He answered questions from the Board. Report of the Village Manager. A. 2016 Tax Levy Ordinance. First Reading 2016 Property Tax Levy and Tax Levy Abatement Ordinances will be on the Monday, December 19, 2016 Agenda. Finance Director George Van Geem made a brief presentation regarding the proposed levy. He answered questions from the Board. Report of the Corporation Counsel. FIRST READING: A. An ordinance amending Chapter 2, Article VII, of the Skokie Village Code pertaining to the creation of the Performing Arts Center Board. This item is on the agenda for first reading and will be on the December 19, 2016 agenda for second reading and adoption. Plan Commission. A. Plan Commission Case 2016-29P – Site Plan Approval: 4817-4833 Oakton Street Motion to approve the petitioner’s request for site plan approval for an existing 2-lot commercial development with a new building addition at 4817-4833 Oakton St. in a CX Core Mixed-Use district that includes 1 building be approved subject to all conditions. Plan Commission Case 2016-31P – Special Use Permit: 8015 Ridgeway Avenue Motion to concur with the Plan Commission that the petitioner’s request for a special use permit to operate an automotive repair facility at 8015 Ridgeway be approved subject to all conditions. Eli Steinhardt, property owner of 8015 Ridgeway had questions about parking spaces. The Village will accommodate his request for the number of parking spaces that are needed. Plan Commission Case 2016-32P – Zoning Map Amendment: 3721 Chase Avenue Motion to concur with the Plan Commission that the petitioner’s request to amend the zoning map to change the zoning district for 3721 Chase Avenue form M3 Industry to B2 Commercial be approved subject to all conditions.
