MINUTES of a regular meeting of the Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Skokie, Cook County, Illinois held in the Council Chambers at 5127 Oakton Street at 8
p.m. on Monday December 4, 2017
Pledge of Allegiance led by Cub Scout Pack #85 from Middleton School.
The Mayor called the meeting to order.
The Deputy Clerk called the Roll. Those present were Roberts, Sutker, Ulrich, Bromberg,
Klein, Gray-Keeler and Mayor Van Dusen.
Motion to approve the Consent Agenda.

Mayor Van Dusen read a Proclamation urging all residents to support the efforts of the
Niles Township Food Pantry. Trustee Bonnie Ognisanti and Food Pantry Board Member
Alyse Burman accepted the Proclamation

Finance Director Julian Prendi gave a Power Point Presentation on the 2017 Property Tax Levy.
He answered questions from the Board.
This is a First Reading and will be back on the agenda on December 18th for a second reading.
*B. Intergovernmental Agreement between the Village of Skokie and the Village of Lincolnwood
– Dispatch Service.

Motion to approve the intergovernmental agreement between the Village of Skokie and the
Village of Lincolnwood for Dispatch service.

Motion to approve the intergovernmental agreement between the Village of Skokie and the
Villages of Glenview, Northfield and Wilmette for Skokie Valley Trail Phase I engineering
services.

Motion to approve the request of the Village Manager for an Executive Session pursuant to

Motion to adopt an ordinance granting a special use permit to establish and operate a child
daycare not in a residence at 7616 East Prairie Road, Skokie, Illinois, in a B2 Commercial

E. An ordinance correcting a ministerial error regarding the vacation of a portion of the real

be on the December 18, 2017 agenda for second reading and adoption.

Executive Session
A closed session was held in the main floor conference room at 8:45. Those present were
Manager Lockerby, Assistant Manager Wicha, Trustees Robert, Sutker, Ulrich, Bromberg, Klein
and Gray-Keeler. Also present were Corporation Counsel Lorge and Assistant Corporation
Counsel McCarthy. The meeting ended at 9:30 p.m.
