APPROVED APRIL 9, 2025 Meeting Minutes for CONSUMER AFFAIRS COMMISSION JANUARY 8, 2025 VILLAGE HALL, 5127 OAKTON, SKOKIE, IL 60077 – CONFERENCE ROOM A Members Present: Biju Krishman, Ted Lavine, Natalie Lopatkiewicz, Ashley Silverstein, Gary Merrill, Members Absent: Trustee Khoeun, George Matthew, Howard Meyer, Anil Pillai, Pretap Sampat Presiding Officer: Biju Krishman Staff Present: Carol White, Economic Vitality Coordinator Others Present: 1) At 6:30pm, Chairman Biju Krishman Called to Order/Declaration of Quorum 2) Old Business – none. 3) New Business – The Commission welcomed Ashley. 2025 Planning was discussed. It was requested that the Commission members schedule visits with the Honorable Mentions and the Business of the Year 2024. Sketchbook will be visited by Natalia and George and report back in February. Schaefer’s will be visited by Ashley and report back in April. Kneads and Wants will be visited by Biju and report back in June. Will’s Place will be visited by Gary and report back in September. It was also suggested that we invite the businesses to visit us. Kneads and Wants will be invited for the February meeting. The Commission would also like to revisit the mission statement on the website in our February meeting. 4) Summary of Public Comment – no public comment. 5) Adjournment – 7:23pm Meeting was adjourned.
