Plan Commission Meeting Minutes
Date: October 16, 2014
A motion was made by Commissioner Marek to approve the minutes of the October 2,
2014 meeting. A commissioner, not in attendance at that meeting, questioned if there
was any discussion over the transparency of the storefront windows for Case 2014-21P,
3941 Oakton Street as there was nothing written about it in the minutes. On a site visit he
noted that the glass in front and back is impossible to see through and he thought it to be
a safety concern. The Community Development director stated that the plans were routed
to other departments and returned with no comments. It was noted that the only
discussion about windows was if the curtains could remain. Minutes were seconded by
Commissioner Paradise. All voted aye.

Discussion and Interested Parties
Legal Notice was properly advertised as prescribed by the Zoning Chapter. However, the
petitioners failed to fulfill their notice requirements to property owners within 250 feet
and are requesting a continuance to the next meeting.
Recommendation and Voting
Jim Turi, representing Clearbrook, requested a continuance to the next meeting. He
stated that the notification instructions were miss-filed on his desk and when the packet
was found, it was too late to provide notice. He apologized for the inconvenience.
This case was continued to the November 6, 2014 meeting. No vote was taken.
