Skokie Public Arts Advisory Committee - Minute When: Wednesday, August 3, 2022 Time: 3 p.m. Where: Skokie Village Hall, Conference Room D & E Present: Barb Meyer, Nick Wyatt, Steve Bynum, Susie Lorge, John Maloof, Tammy Finestone, Zach Williams, Mary Fedorowski Agenda: I. Welcome/Introductions Barb Meyer began the meeting at 3:02 p.m. and welcomed Mary Fedorowski to the Committee. II. Murals The group discussed future mural locations and the idea of a call for locations in the SkokiEnews or NewSkokie. The group discussed the need to redo the Shawnimals and Nate Otto murals. Wyatt asked the Committee to find muralist they like and bring them to the group for discussion. The group discuss the possibility of a mural fest with temporary murals located throughout town. III. Sculptures The group discussed future sculpture locations and artists. IV. Future Public Art Programing/Initiatives The Committee discussed future public art programming. Ideas discussed include brining a sound artist to Downtown Skokie, an ice sculpture on the Village Green in the winter, light sculptures and interactive sculptures for kids. V.
