SKOKIE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2022 PRESENT: Chairperson Paul Pitalis, Police Chief Brian Baker, Alicia Case, Marcie Claus, Cornell Collins, Fire Chief Jeff Hoeflich, Frank Ippolito, Paul Kruszynski, Kenneth Mantel, Leslie Post-Weissinger, Melissa Villegas, Deputy Fire Chief of Operations Nicholas C. Eschner. Trustee Alison Pure-Slovin, Trustee Edie Sue Sutker, Howard Rosenburg, Vice Chair Mark Penning, Linda Perlin, Dennis Rizo, Bryant Smith, Director of Engineering Russ Rietveld EXCUSED: Senior Engineer Samantha Maximilian, Director of Public Works Max Slankard ABSENT: Daniel Fink, Jr., Earl Nicholas, Mitchell Kushner, Kevin Frampton, Edward McCarthy, Joel Reyes CALL TO ORDER AND APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Vice Chair Mark Penning called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. The minutes of the December 15th meeting were approved. POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT Chief Baker presented the Police Department report. A presentation on the Co-Responder program was given. QA discussion followed. FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT AND SEASONAL FIRE PREVENTION PRESENTATION The Fire Department report was presented by Deputy Chief Eschner and Fire Chief Hoeflich. ENGINEERING REPORT Russ Rietveld provided an update on various construction projects. QA discussion followed. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None. NEW BUSINESS None. ADJOURNMENT At 7:50 p.m. a motion was made to adjourn which was seconded and then passed unanimously.
