Skokie Police Use of Force Review Board Meeting Minutes Call to order A meeting for the Skokie Police Use of Force Review Board was held on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024. The meeting started at 7:oipm. Chair Speaker called the motion to start the meeting to order, second motions by Elizabeth Demes & Vice Chair Rizo, we took role call and a quorum was established. Attendees at the meeting included Chair James Speaker, Vice Chair Dennis Rizo, Alecia Wartowsld, Michael Nelson, Anthony Agee, Elizabeth Demes and Casey Diers. Judge Edward Bobrick, Abel Figueroa and Trustee Alison Pure Slovin did not attend the meeting. Also present was Chief Jesse Barnes, Deputy Chief John Oaldey, Deputy Chief Denise Franldin and Administrative Specialist Cindy Pechter. Motion -Approval of minutes There was a motion to approve the meeting minutes from the 9/24/2024 and 9/26/2024 meetings by Chair Speaker with a second motion by Vice Chair Rlzo and Anthony Agee. The meeting minutes have been posted to the VOS public website. Presentations/Old Business There was no formal presentation at this meeting. Continuation of the body worn camera video footage review and discussion occurred. New Business & Next Steps The board members were instructed to send any suggested comments or ideas for the preparation of the 2023 Use of Force Report draft to Chair Specker. Alecia Wartowsld and Chair Specker agreed to meet as a sub-group to work on the draft copy. Adjournment A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Chair Speaker with second motions by Elizabeth Demes and Casey Diers.
