Skokie Telecommunications and Technology (STAT) Commission Meeting Minutes Date: March 26, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. Location: Skokie Village Hall Conference Room A Attendees: Scott Shamberg, Sam Corcione, Alex Franz, Baccet Levy, Ken Grossman and Avi Nutkis. Absent: Vincent Giovannone, Richard Owen, Christopher Oh, Syed Mahmood, and Jimmy Gonzalez. 1. Welcome & Introductions The meeting did not have a quorum. 2. Approve minutes from Tuesday, February 27, 2024 The meeting did not have a quorum. 3. Discussion Higher Priority Programming  Cyber Security Program – Tier 1 Avi will reach out to the Police Department in the next week or two to schedule a date for the event. He will cc Alex on the email. The group will explore having the event be hybrid.  Program on AI & ChatGPT – Tier 1 Avi explained that the program was a success and that it could be an annual event.  Survey Residents & Businesses on Technology Questions – Tier 1 The group reviewed the breakdown of the survey data. In future surveys, the time of day question will be broken into two questions; weekend and weekday. Scott requested that a program on Smart Home Technology be added to future agendas and that a 3D printing event be explored.  Technological Excellence Award – Tier 1 Tabled.  STAT Website – How the Village is Using Tech – Tier 1 Alex explained that the videos will be developed in May/June.  Home Medical Technology – Tier 1 Sam shared his initial brain storming ideas for the program and will meet with Baccet and Syed to transition the program.  Science Fair – Tier 1 Alex will reach out to the award winners parents to determine any customs that the group should follow while presenting the awards.  Technology Glossary – Tier 1 Avi will reach out to Syed and Baccet for assistance.  Spring Greening  Alex will send a reminder to sign up for volunteering. 4. Discussion Lower Priority Programming  Program About Navigation Aggressive Sales Tactics – Tier 2 There was nothing new to report.  Drone Photography – Tier 2 There was nothing new to report.  CUB Saver Event – Tier 2 CUB is interested in a summer event date. The group will target August for the event and Alex will contact CUB to coordinate. 5. New Business 6. Next Meeting The next meeting will be on April 16, 2024. 7.
