LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Skokie Zoning Board of Appeals, Wednesday, October 7, 2015, Village of Skokie, 5127 Oakton Street, Skokie, Illinois 60077, at 7:30 P.M., to consider the following: NEW ACTION TAKEN 2015-11Z – 9232-9240 Skokie Boulevard Approved Scott Gendell of Gendell WN Skokie, LLC, requests a variance in order to install a sign on a façade facing a 8-0-1 parking lot that has no business entrance or display window and to allow a sign that is 47% (28.77 sq ft) of the signable area rather than installing a sign on a façade facing a Covenant required parking lot that has a business entrance or display window and the 1/3 (33% or 20.36 sq ft) maximum size sign in a signable area as required by Sections 82-27(c)(1)a. and 82- 27(c)(3) of the Skokie Village Code in a B2 Commercial district. PINs: 10-16-221-035-0000 and 10-16-221-021-0000 2015-12Z – 9308 Springfield Avenue Michael and Karin Felix, on behalf of Amias Turman of Approved with condition Airoom, request a variation in order to construct a two-story addition resulting in a front yard of 22.94 feet, a 46.1% land 8-0-1 coverage by buildings and a floor to area ratio of 0.677 rather than the 30.32-foot minimum required front yard, Covenant required 40% maximum land coverage by buildings and 0.6 maximum floor to area ratio as required by Sections 118- 74(b)(2), 118-111(8) and 118-111(10) of the Skokie Village Code in an R1 Single Family Residential district.
