PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE
Tuesday, September 16, 2025

PRESENT: Derek Lee, Chair; Brandon Jenson; Abe McGull; Bruce Adib-Yazdi, and Jeff
Schrag, ex-officio.
ABSENT: None.
VACANT: None.
STAFF: Anita Cotter, City Clerk; and Kristina D’Andrea, Executive Secretary.
GUESTS: None.
Councilmember Derek Lee, Chair, called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m., and roll call was
conducted. Present: Brandon Jenson, Abe McGull, Bruce Adib-Yazdi, Derek Lee, and Jeff
Schrag, ex-officio. Absent: None.
Councilmember Jenson moved to approve the minutes of the March 13, 2025 and August 8,
2025 December 12, 2024, meetings as presented. Councilmember McGull seconded the motion,
and it was approved by the following vote: Ayes: Jenson, McGull, Adib-Yazdi, Lee, and Schrag,
ex-officio. Nays: None. Absent: None. Abstain: None.
The following appointments/reappointments were considered:
Landmarks Board
Consider reappointment of Erik Kiser (term expired November 1, 2025)
Consider reappointment of John Sellars (term expired November 1, 2025)
Consider replacement of John Hawkins (term expired November 1, 2025)
Anita Cotter, City Clerk provided a brief status overview of the Landmarks Board. She noted
Mr. Hawkins currently served as the Walnut Street Representative, and the City Clerk’s Office
has not yet received any applications with the necessary qualifications to replace him. Therefore,
Mr. Hawkins would continue to serve as the Walnut Street Representative until a replacement
was appointed.
Councilmember McGull moved to reappoint Erik Kiser and John Sellars to the Landmarks
Board. Councilmember Jenson seconded the motion, and it was approved by the following vote:
Ayes: Jenson, McGull, Adib-Yazdi, Lee, and Schrag, ex-officio. Nays: None. Absent: None.
Abstain: None.

Springfield-Greene County Environmental Advisory Board
Consider reappointment of Louise Wienchkowski (term expired October 1, 2025)
Consider reappointment of Alyssa Lindsay (term expired October 1, 2025)
Councilmember Lee asked Ms. Cotter to provide a brief overview of the status of the
Springfield-Greene County Environmental Advisory Board. Ms. Cotter advised she spoke to
Errin Kemper, Director of Environmental Services, who noted Ms. Lindsay’s attendance had
declined.
Councilmember Bruce Adib-Yazdi moved to reappoint Louise Wienkowski to the Springfield-
Greene County Environmental Advisory Board. Councilmember McGull seconded the motion,
and it was approved by the following vote: Ayes: Jenson, McGull, Adib-Yazdi, Lee, and
Schrag, ex-officio. Nays: None. Absent: None. Abstain: None.
Councilmember Lee requested a motion to reappoint Alyssa Lindsay. A motion was not
received, and the motion died due to lack of a second.
Councilmember Jenson moved to appoint Sarah White to replace Alyssa Lindsay.
Councilmember McGull seconded the motion, and it was approved by the following vote: Ayes:
Jenson, McGull, Adib-Yazdi, Lee, and Schrag, ex-officio. Nays: None. Absent: None.
Abstain: None.
Councilmember Jenson moved to adjourn. Mayor Schrag seconded the motion, and it was
approved by the following vote: Ayes: Jenson, McGull, Adib-Yazdi, Lee, and Schrag, ex-
officio. Nays: None. Absent: None. Abstain: None.
With no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting adjourned at 1:18 p.m.
