6 CO 17-18 General Manager's Report
1. Claims Report - much higher than normal due to one claim settlement for
$184,000 and a vehicle accident settlement. This report includes all claims that have
been settled; most are resolved through the City of Saint Paul Risk Management
Department.
2. A draft Customer Service Connection was handed out to the Board with language
explaining the new water meter classification system. Looking for feedback from
Board Members. Would like to have comments within one week so it can be included
in April 1st mailing.
3. Celebrating Drinking Water week which is May 7-13 with the following activities:
Monday - plant tours for new employees and years-of-service celebration; Tuesday -
plant tours for 5th and 6th graders from St. Paul Elementary Schools; Wednesday -
Safety picnic; Thursday - Open House for the public.
4. AWWA Conference will be held on June 11-14 in Philadelphia for any Board
Members interested in attending.
5. Meeting with Highland District Council regarding ideas on using the land after
Highland Reservoir is demolished. Have received some ideas from Ramsey County
and Saint Paul Parks. Would like to have a presentation at the May Board meeting
and get direction from the Board on what to do.
