FOR DISCUSSION
18 RES 14-499 Recognizing Allen P. Lovejoy on his retirement from the City of Saint
Paul.
Council President Lantry invited Allen Lovejoy to the podium . She read the resolution
and expressed her thanks for Mr. Lovejoy's work. Mayor Coleman spoke about Mr.
Lovejoy's contributions to the City. Mr. Lovejoy expressed his gratitude and respect
for City staff, and appreciation for his time with the City. Councilmember Stark
thanked Mr. Lovejoy for his work on the Central Corridor.
Council President Lantry moved approval of the resolution.

19 RES 14-519 Establishing solid waste diversion goals for the City of Saint Paul.
Councilmember Stark moved a minor amendment. Yeas - 6 Nays - 0
Councilmember Stark thanked those involved in the process so far, including Anne
Hunt, Samantha Henningson, Rich Lallier, and Public Works staff. He said this was
the first time specific goals had been set, and he wanted the point to be made to the
community that this was important to the Council.
Councilmember Tolbert thanked Councilmember Stark and his staff for their work .
He said bold goals had been set which put St. Paul in a leadership position.
Councilmember Stark moved approval as amended.

20 Ord 14-9 Amending Chapter 225 of the Legislative Code to regulate use of
bows, arrows, and crossbows in the City of Saint Paul.
Councilmember Stark moved to lay the matter over for three months.
