hunger in Minnesota.
Councilmember Brendmoen invited Gary Fitch to the podium to describe his
endeavor. Mr. Fitch spoke briefly about the Minnesota Miracle, and asked the
Council and Minnesota residents for their support. Councilmember Brendmoen
moved approval.

Council President Lantry said July public hearing dates were on a different schedule
due to the July 4th holiday, and the public hearing for the item had previously been
continued to July 16 which was not a public hearing date.
Councilmember Tolbert moved to continue the public hearing to July 23.

activities such as amplified music, performances, poetry, and
announcements on an outdoor stage at the Little Mekong Night
Market, 394 University Avenue West, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on
five (5) Saturdays, June 14, July 5, July 26, August 16 and September
6, 2014.
No one appeared in opposition; Councilmember Thao moved to close the public
hearing and approve the resolution.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, July 15, 16, 17 and 18, 2014; and
from 5:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014, during the
Duathlon National Championships event at Harriet Island. (Public
hearing continued from June 4) (Amended to approve variance, with
conditions, only on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m.)
Councilmember Thune said amendments made at the June 4 public hearing had
changed the starting time from 5:00 to 7:00 a.m. and eliminated the Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday times.
No one appeared in opposition; Councilmember Thune moved to close the public
hearing and approve the resolution as amended.
