17 SR 16-39 Presentation by East Metro Strong.
Will Schroeder, East Metro Strong President, presented a report on the newly
developed East Metro Strong vision. He answered Council member questions.

18 ABZA 16-1 Public hearing to consider the appeal of Gary Findell and Jim Erchul to
a decision of Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) denying requested
variances needed to construct a new single family dwelling with a
two-car attached garage at 427 Mount Ida Street. (Public hearing held
May 18)
Councilmember Brendmoen said she had laid the matter over to shore up her
reasons for granting the appeal. She said she had worked with the City Attorney and
the appellant, and felt they had figured out a path. She moved to grant the appeal,
and she addressed the errors in the BZA's findings related to the unique
characteristics of the lot not created by the appellant; the practical difficulties in
complying with the code's design standards; and the proposed plan's compliance
with the Comprehensive Plan.

Final Adoption
19 Ord 16-12 Granting the application of the Saint Paul Housing and
Redevelopment Authority to rezone its property at 952 Farrington
Street from B2 Community Business to T2 Traditional Neighborhood,
and amending Chapter 60 of the Legislative Code pertaining to the
Saint Paul zoning map.
Councilmember Brendmoen moved approval.
