Approval of Minutes for: - Regular Meeting 05.26.26 b. Bill Listing: - Elmhurst Occupational Health #00216898-00 for $696.00 (FD Physical) - Magnussen June 2026 for $200.00 (Secretarial Services) c. Ratification of Email Consent: - Approval to complete background checks for the next three candidates #8 - #10 from the Police Officer Amended Final Eligibility Register via email on June 4, 2026. - Approval to complete background checks for up to the next ten candidates #11 - #20 from the Police Officer Amended Final Eligibility Register via email on June 10, 2026. 5. Business a. Fire Department Updates - Removal of candidate #3 Logan Nardi from the FF/PM Final Eligibility List per his request. b. Police Department Updates - Resignation of Officer Alexander Strockis effective June 23, 2026. - Police Department received approval from the Village Manager to hire three police officers due to the resignation of Officer Strockis and anticipation of forthcoming retirements. - Request removal of Candidate #12 Benjamin Baker from the Police Officer Amended Final Eligibility Register per his request. - Request to establish a Lateral Hire Eligibility Register and place Joel Holler as the number one candidate on that register. Mr. Holler is a previous applicant who successfully completed the required vetting process during a prior lateral hiring process, is currently employed as a full-time police officer, meets all qualifications established for lateral entry candidates, and is the sole applicant for consideration. At the present time, the Board does not have an active or valid Lateral Hire Register. - Request to authorize the Police Department to begin a background check for candidate Joel Holler from the Lateral Hire Eligibility Register. Upon successful completion of the background process, the Chief of Police or his designee would return to the Board of Fire and Police Commission to request authorization to extend a conditional offer of employment and proceed with the final steps of the hiring process. c. 2026 Commission Budget Review 6. Executive Session a. Pursuant to the General Provisions fo the Open Meetings Act 5ILCS 120/2 (c)(1) Personnel Matters 7. Adjournment The Villa Park Village Hall is subject to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
