Work Sessions are intended to provide Council Members with the opportunity to study issues and analyze
information in preparation for future Council meetings. All proposed items will be scheduled for a decision at a future

4. PUBLIC COMMENT
Comments should be directed to the Council Chair and commenters should not expect any debate with or
responses from the City Council, Mayor, or City Staff. However, as a point of personal privilege Council
Members, the Mayor, and Staff may respond to public comments if recognized by the Council Chair. Members
of the City Council strive to create a respectful and professional decorum during Council Meetings so that the
meeting can be conducted in an orderly, efficient, effective, and dignified manner. It is our desire that each
person attending a City Council meeting feel safe, respected, and comfortable participating in their
government. We hope that commenters will have that same goal and strive to do their best to keep comments
respectful, professional, and free from profanity, personal attacks, and indecency. When addressing the
Council, please provide your full name and limit your remarks to three (3) minutes. Written comments may be
submitted if a citizen does not wish to speak.

a. Consider Resolution No. 22-012 approving a Service in Lieu of Fees Agreement and
providing a fee waiver to the Jordan Education Foundation for the Challenge Run held in
2022 and 2023
b. Consider Resolution No. 22-013 approving the Annual Action Plan for the Community
Development Block Grant 2022 Program Year and authorizing the Mayor to sign
associated agreements
c. Consider Ordinance No. 22-15 amending the 2009 West Jordan City Code (revisions
allowing Pet Groomers as a Permitted Use in certain Agricultural, Planned Development,
and Manufacturing Zones; Sections 13-5A-2-13-5C-4, and 13-5F-2)
d. Consider Ordinance No. 22-16 amending the 2009 West Jordan City Code (repealing
fencing and screening setback requirements in the Professional Office, Commercial, and
Manufacturing Zones, Section 13-14-4)
e. Consider Ordinance No. 22-09 amending the 2009 West Jordan City Code (revisions to
Board of Health, Sections 5-1-1 through 5-1-6 inclusive and 5-4-1)
f. Consider Ordinance No. 22-18 amending the annual budget for Fiscal Year 2022

a. Consider Resolution No. 22-010 providing advice and consent to appoint Agustin Avalos
and Clifton Smith to serve on the Board of Adjustments and Craig Heath to serve as an
alternate member of the Board
b. Consider Resolution No. 22-016 prohibiting the use of ignition sources, including
fireworks, explosive devices, and open flames, in certain areas that historically constitute
a hazardous environmental condition.

Routine items on the Consent Agenda not requiring public discussion by the City Council or which have been
discussed previously may be adopted by one single motion. A Council member may request to remove an item
from the consent agenda for individual discussion and consideration.

• Consider Resolution No. 22-015 appointing Dave Newton to serve as an alternate on the Trans-
Jordan Cities Landfill board
