The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) has issued a Notice of Intent to issue a
Preliminary Environmental Impacts Determination (PEID) to the Village of Westmont. The
Village has applied to the IEPA Public Water Supply Loan Program to request funding to finance
the Liberty Park Subdivision Water System Project. The project consists of new water main,
valves, hydrants, connection to the Village of Westmont’s water system, lead service line
replacement, abandonment of existing well, and other associated improvements.
A Project Summary and PEID document provided by the IEPA is available for review at Village
Hall at 31 W Quincy St, Westmont, IL 60559. The document contains the Project locations,
descriptions, costs, environmental impacts, and other information. A Public Hearing has been
scheduled at Village Hall on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm to provide an
opportunity for the public to view and comment on the proposed Project and PEID.
This Notice is to provide access to the document and notification of the scheduled Public
Hearing to satisfy Section 662.330 of the Illinois Procedures for Issuing Loans from the Public
Water Supply Loan Program. These documents will be on file at the Village Hall prior to the
Public Hearing and for 10 days after the hearing date to allow for public comment on the
proposed Project. Public comments may be submitted in writing to either:
