Special Meeting - Environmental Improvement Commission 2017 Climate Action Plan July 24, 2017, 6:00 PM Westmont Public Library, 428 N Cass Ave, Westmont, IL 60559 Meeting Minutes 1. Call To Order at 6:04 pm 2. Roll Call In attendance: Glenn Gabryel, Mary McAuliffe, Brittany Smith, Tyler Tieche and Bob Van Hyfte. Absent: Mary Gabryel, Kate Johnson, Erin Kennedy, and Kim Lombardozzi. Staff in attendance: Jon Yeater. 3. Discussion of Current Action Plans and Assignments a. Glenn Gabryel suggested to leave Tesla / electric charging stations out of the CAP. Too little detail at this time. b. Need to update Waste Management recycling and waste diversion amounts and percentages c. Suggest the CAP list short, medium and long term plans d. Discussion on whether the CAP is really a plan, update, report, vistion, etc. What is the goal? Provide information to residents, advise village, report what EIC is doing for village and residents. e. Jon Yeater suggestion for a comprehensive urban forestry layout plan. f. Tyler Tieche noted the need for a short report on Stormwater Management / future projects included in the CAP g. Tyler Tieche to check document provisions and provide link to EIC commissioners. Need to put ‘a stake in the ground’ and provide list of any remaining ideas to include in each section to be completed as soon as possible. No other additions unless deemed a priority. At this time is seems unlikely to have a document to review at the 8/7 EIC meeting but will review at the 9/11 meeting. 4. Next planned meeting None planned at this time 5. Adjourn 7:00 1
