Meeting Minutes - August 19, 2019 Call to Order 5:09 pm In Attendance Dottie Mackie, Don Cavalli, Don Westlake, John Dalby, Anna Orland No one from public in attendance Review of 2019 Season Great season. Wonderful job by the director and musicians. Enjoyed Auld Lang Syne ending Discussed the possibility of Lauralie Conrad as a guest conductor next year. Discussed the positive and negative points of the different concerts. All concerts should show off entire band. Enjoyed sections to show depth of band. Suggested the possibility of bricks for a fundraiser. Special bench seating for 4 people, brought up for discussion. Update of Memorial Park Renovation Lions Club is covering 80K for the terrace. Band Commission wants to keep Art Sweet rock. If Memorial Park or Adams Park renovation is not completed by next season, considering Longfellow School lot, which will require 5K per week for toilets, tents and trash Budget Has been submitted- 2.7% increase Uniforms cleaned elsewhere (with city uniforms)with an increase of $600 (City decision) Approved minutes from May of 2018 Don Westlake moved to accept the minutes.
