l. Call to Order
Meeting started at 7:03 PM,
ll. Approval of Minutes
Nancy made the motion to approve the April minutes. Seconded by Laurel Approved
unanimously.
lll. Public Comment
Guests joining us at our meeting. We will share our Group Rides document with them

● told him about EBC and Pedal Pushers. Nancy to email him about pedal
pushers
● Ben is local unicyclist -benjamin.milford@gmail.com
● Matthew moved from the Netherlands. He joined us on a previous ride.
lV. Chair Report:
In person meetings are now allowed. Decided we would like to host the June meeting in
person. If we decide right before meeting that we’d want to switch to Zoom, then we can
move to Zoom

Biking Adventures (Virtual)
Wednesday, July 14 • 7 pm
More individuals and families are biking than ever! Join us to capitalize on the
freedom, exercise and enjoyment biking offers. The Wheaton Bicycle Advisory
Commission will provide tips for bike safety and maintenance, and share some of
their favorite rides around town. Your questions and suggestions are welcome!
Rita to put together meeting with library for further planning, will let us know date/time
Timeline for Webinar-
● Intro-Michelle
● Bicycle Friendly Community-Bob
● Safety video-Jim
● Short rides, bike map, group rides and waiver-Laurel
● Bike maintenance video will be provided by Alyse to Rita (who present?)
● Paths in forest preserve-Bob
● Time for Q&A
History Ride Update: Will be 10 miles, will not include Glen Ellyn stop. Janet will
practice riding it and map it out. Michelle will follow up with Nancy Flannery at History
Commission for talking points at stops and starting to create advertising.
Group Rides: June 5th will be open to the public, We will advertise with WPD to end
the ride at the concert at Memorial park at noon. One ride, Laurel lead Michelle sweep

Safe Routes Update: Bill. (read by Rita)
● Monroe school has responded positively. They are creating a Google Survey to
collect answers to a list of questions I provided. They are also soliciting for
people to help the PTA if needed to help convince the City Council to actually
create safe routes to the school.
● The woman from Whittier has not responded, Bill to try and reconnect with her
next week
Bicycle Friendly Community Update:
● Laurel to teach Bike safety class in September
● Bob- we could introduce some of the items that we need city’s help with at coffee
with council once they start those again
Map/Postcard distribution- postcards are in.
● Thurs, May 27th @6pm-pickup postcards in city hall parking
● Don’t forget to sign-up where you are taking maps
Biking Challenge: would be too much to take on right now
Bike Photo Contest: plan for August 1st-15th
● Alyse will take lead to see if we could work with city &/or WPD, Wheaton
Chamber of Commerce
VI. New Business:
● Danada Dr proposal Michelle will email to group, vote on at June meeting
● French market- Bob will contact French market
○ WBAC table with info on available bike racks
○ Bike Valet at French market
○ Nancy to contact city to see if temporary bike racks available to use
