Board of Fire & Police Commissioners Regular Meeting Minutes September 13, 2017 Call to Order and Roll Call At 5:31 p.m., the regular meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners was called to order by Chair Cannova. The meeting was held in the Gamon Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, Illinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair Cannova, Commissioner Dulaney, Commissioner Illia and Commissioner Wanzenberg. Also present was Executive Assistant Qualkenbush. Commissioner Schreiber was absent. Public Comment None Approval of Minutes Commissioner Wanzenberg moved and Commissioner Illia seconded to approve the minutes of the May 31, 2017 regular meeting. The motion carried unanimously. Commissioner Wanzenberg moved and Commissioner Dulaney seconded to approve the minutes of the June 1, 2017 regular meeting. The motion carried unanimously. End of Probation – Officer Kelly & Officer Kaufman Commissioner Wanzenberg moved and Commissioner Illia seconded to accept the written recommendation of Police Chief Volpe and appoint Officer Kelly to full-time non-probationary status. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Commissioner Illia Commissioner Wanzenberg Chair Cannova Commissioner Dulaney Nays: None Absent: Commissioner Schrieber Motion Carried Unanimously Commissioner Wanzenberg moved and Commissioner Dulaney seconded to table acceptance of Officer Kaufman to full-time non-probationary status for further information. Adjournment Commissioner Illia moved and Commissioner Dulaney seconded to adjourn the regular meeting at 6:22 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
