Board of Fire & Police Commissioners Regular Meeting Minutes March 6th, 2018 Call to Order and Roll Call At 4:31 p.m., the regular meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners was called to order by Chair Cannova. The meeting was held in the Gamon Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, Illinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair Cannova, Commissioner Dulaney, Commissioner Illia and Commissioner Wanzenberg. Commissioner Schreiber was absent. Also present were Fire Chief Schultz, Assistant Fire Chief Vassios and Director of HR Schulz. Public Comment None Approval of Minutes Commissioner Dulaney moved and Commissioner Illia seconded to approve the minutes of the March 5th, 2018 regular meeting. The motion carried unanimously. Commissioner Illia moved and Commissioner Dulaney seconded to approve the minutes of the March 5th, 2018 closed meeting. The motion carried unanimously. New Business Commissioner Wanzenberg moved and Commissioner Illia seconded to go into Closed Session for the purpose of interviewing Firefighter candidates. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Commissioner Illia Commissioner Wanzenberg Chair Cannova Commissioner Dulaney Nays: None Absent: Commissioner Schrieber Motion Carried Unanimously Firefighter Final Eligibility List Commissioner Wanzenberg moved and Commissioner Dulaney seconded to place Daniel Evoy, Bryce McElroy and Matthew Sheehan on the Firefighter Final Eligibility List, and remove all other candidates considered from the list. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Commissioner Illia Commissioner Wanzenberg Chair Cannova Commissioner Dulaney Nays: None Absent: Commissioner Schrieber Motion Carried Unanimously Adjournment Commissioner Wanzenberg moved and Commissioner Dulaney seconded to adjourn the regular meeting at 6:48 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
