WHEATON BOARD OF FIRE & POLICE COMMISSIONERS MEETING MINUTES WHEATON CITY HALL, 303 W WESLEY STREET, WHEATON, ILLINOIS 60187 § Wednesday, January 15, 2025 Open Meeting 5:00 p.m. Call to Order At 5:03 p.m., Commissioner Illia called to order the special meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The meeting was held in the Conley Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, Illinois. Upon the r0ll call, the following were present: Chair—Commissioner lllia, Commissioner Cannova, Commissioner Vroman, Commissioner Wanzenberg, and Commissioner Haines. Also present were Fire Chief Brill, Assistant Chief Vassios, and Director of Human Resources Schulz. ll. Public Comment No public comment III. Approval of Minutes Commissioner Cannova moved, and Commissioner Vroman seconded the motion to approve the open meeting minutes from July 31“ and October 24, 2024. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Commissioner Illia Commissioner Cannova Commissioner Haines Commissioner Wanzenberg Commissioner Vroman Nays: None Motion Carried IV. Old Business None  New Business a. Receive End of Probation Reports — Sgt Green Commissioner Cannova motioned, and Commissioner Vroman seconded the confirmed receipt and review of the End of Probation Report for Sgt Green. The motion carried unanimously. VI. Closed Session At 5:05 p.m. Commissioner Wanzenberg moved, and Commissioner Haines seconded to move into closed session. The motion carried unanimously. A. Entry Level Firefighter Candidate Interviews 5ILCS 120/2(C)(21) At 8:46 p.m. Commissioner Wanzenberg moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded to move out of closed session. The motion carried unanimously. VII. Adjournment Commissioner Vroman moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:47 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
