WHEATON BOARD OF FIRE & POLICE COMMISSIONERS MEETING MINUTES WHEATON CITY HALL, 303 w WESLEY STREET, WHEATON, ILLINOIS 60187 Wednesday, May 28, 2025 Open Meeting 2:00 p.m. Call to Order At 2:00 p.m., Chair Illia called to order the regular meeting ofthe Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The meeting was held in the Conley Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, Illinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair lllia, Commissioner Wanzenberg, and Commissioner Vroman. Also present was Police Chief Youker, Deputy Chief Gabryel, Lieutenant Potter, and Human Resources Director Holly Schulz. Commissioners Cannova and Haines were absent. Public Comment — None Approval of Minutes - None Old Business — None New Business — None VI. Closed Session a. Entry level and Lateral Police Officer Candidate Interview 5ILCS 120/2(C)(21) At 2:00 p.m., Commissioner Wanzenberg moved, and Commissioner Vroman seconded the motion to move into closed session for the purpose of interviewing Police Officer candidates. The motion passed unanimously. At 4:38 p.m., Commissioner Wanzenberg moved, and Commissioner Vroman seconded the motion to move out of closed session for the purpose of interviewing Police Officer candidates. The motion passed unanimously. VII. Adjournment At 4:42 p.m., Commissioner Vroman moved to adjourn the meeting.
