WHEATON BOARD OF FIRE & POLICE COMMISSIONERS MEETING MINUTES WHEATON CITY HALL, 303 w WESLEY STREET, WHEATON, ILLTNOTS 60187 Monday, June 23, 2025 Open Meeting 5:30 p.m. i. Call to Order At 5:33 p.m., Chair Illia called to order the regular meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The meeting was held in the Gamon Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, Illinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair Illia, Commissioner Cannova, Commissioner Haines, and Commissioner Vroman. Also present were Police Chief Youker, Deputy Chief Gabryel, Lieutenant Potter, and Human Resources Director Holly Schulz. II. Public Comment — None III. Approval of Minutes a. Commissioner Cannova moved, and Commissioner Vroman seconded the motion to approve the meeting minutes of June 2, 2025 Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Chair Illia Commissioner Cannova Commissioner Vroman Commissioner Haines Nays: None The motion carried. IV. Old Business — None V. New Business a. Receive End of Probation Reports — Officer Pliego Vl. Closed Session a. Lateral Police Officer Candidate Interviews SILCS 120/2(C)(21) At 5:35 p.m., Commissioner Vroman moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded the motion to move into closed session for the purpose of interviewing LateralPolice Officer candidates. The motion passed unanimously.  BOARD OF FIRE & POLICE COMMISSERS MEETING MINUTES March 8, 2023 At 7:14 p.m., Commissioner Haines moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded the motion to move out of closed session for the purpose of interviewing Police Officer candidates. The motion passed unanimously. VII. Approval of Final Lateral Police Officer Eligibility List The final Entry Lever Police Officer Eligibility List was approved and signed unanimously. VIII. Adjournment At 7:20 p.m., Commissioner Cannova moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Illia seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. Approved by: C Susan Haines Secretary
