WHEATON BOARD OF FIRE & POLICE COMMISSIONERS MEETING MINUTES WHEATON CITY HALL, 303 w WESLEY STREET, WHEATON, ILLINOIS 60w Tuesday, October 7, 2025 Open Meeting 5:30 p.m. Call to Order At 5:30 p.m., Chair Illia called to order the regular meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The meeting was held in the Gamon Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, Illinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair Illia, Commissioner Cannova, Commissioner Vroman, Commissioner Sifnotis, and Commissioner Haines, Police Chief Youker, Deputy Chief Gabryel, Deputy Chief Dillenkoffer, Fire Chief Brill, and HR Director Schulz. Public Comment — None Approval of Minutes a. CommissionerCannova moved, and Commissioner Vroman seconded the motion to approve the meeting minutes of September 24, 2025 Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Chair lllia Commissioner Cannova Commissioner Sifnotis CommissionerVroman Commissioner Haines Nays: None The motion carried. Old Business — None New Business - None VI. Closed Session a. Police Command Candidate Interviews 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1) b. Police Command Candidate Interviews SILCS 120/2(c)(1) At 5:31 p.m., CommissionerVroman moved, and CommissionerCannova seconded the motion to move into closed session forthe purpose ofinterviewing Police Command and Firefighter candidates. The motion passed unanimously.  At 8:10 p.m., Commissioner Vroman moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded the motion to move out of closed session forthe purpose of interviewing Police Command and Firefighter candidates. The motion passed unanimously. VII. Miscellaneous a. Approve Lateral Police Officer Eligibility List Commissioner Vroman moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded the motion to approve the Lateral Police Officer Eligibility List. The motion passed unanimously. b. Approve Police Command Promotional List Commissioner Cannova moved, and Commissioner Vroman seconded the motion to approve the Police Command Promotional List. The motion passed unanimously. Vlll. Adjournment At 8:12 p.m., Commissioner Vroman moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Cannova seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
