W WHEATON BOARD OF FIRE & POLICE COMMISSIONERS MEETING MINUTES " WHEATON CITY HALL, 303 w WESLEY STREET, WHEATON, iLLiNOis 60m g Wednesday, October 8, 2025 Open Meeting 5:30 p.m. Call to Order At 5:30 p.m., Chair lllia called to order the regular meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The meeting was held in the Gamon Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, Illinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair lllia, Commissioner Cannova, Commissioner Vroman, Commissioner Sifnotis, and Commissioner Haines. Also present were Fire Chief Brill, Assistant Chief Vassios, and HR Director Schulz. Public Comment — None Approval of Minutes a. Commissioner Vroman moved and Commissioner Haines seconded the motion to approve the meeting minutes of October 7, 2025. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Chair Illia Commissioner Cannova Commissioner Sifnotis Commissioner Vroman Commissioner Haines Nays: None The motion carried. Old Business — None New Business - None VI. Closed Session a. Firefighter Candidate Interviews 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1) At 5:31 p.m., Commissioner Cannova moved, and Commissioner Haines seconded the motion to move into closed session for the purpose of interviewing Firefighter candidates. The motion passed unanimously. At 7:56 p.m., Commissioner Cannova moved, and Commissioner Sifnotis seconded the motion to move out of closed session for the purpose of interviewing Firefighter candidates. The motion passed unanimously. VII. Adjournment At 7:57 p.m., Commissioner Haines moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Vroman seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
