1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The regular Wheaton City Council Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Michael J. Gresk.
Upon roll call, the following were:

2. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD
Ms. Julie Kuvotis, 1890 Jahns Drive, stated she lives in the Danada East subdivision and has been doing a
great deal of research and investigation regarding the proposed Haymarket Center proposal. She introduced
herself to the City Council, thanked the members who have met with her and hopes to meet with other City
Council members individually regarding this matter.
3. CONSENT AGENDA
Councilman Rutledge moved and Councilman Prendiville seconded that the following action be taken on
the Consent Agenda items:
1. Approve the Minutes of the December 11, 2017 Public Hearing and the December 18, 2017 regular
Wheaton City Council Meeting, as submitted.
2. Adopt Resolution R-2018-01, A Resolution Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement with
Webster, McGrath & Ahlberg, Ltd. for Flood Prone Area Studies – 2017 Project V.
3. Adopt Resolution R-2018-02, A Resolution Authorizing the Disposal of Certain Surplus Property
(PD).

4. PASS ORDINANCE NO. O-2018-01, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL MOTOR
VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC SCHEDULES (CHAPTER 70) FOR THE CITY OF WHEATON – PARKING
RESTRICTIONS
Councilman Suess moved and Councilman Barbier seconded that Ordinance No. O-2018-01, An Ordinance
Amending the Official Motor Vehicle and Traffic Schedules (Chapter 70) for the City of Wheaton –
Parking Restrictions, be passed.
City Manager Dzugan indicated this item was before the Council as a first reading at the December 18,
2017 meeting and would restrict parking along a portion of Stoddard Avenue.

5. COUNCIL COMMENT
Mayor Gresk welcomed Andrew, Josh and Sam, scout members from Troops 246 and 303 to the meeting.
6. APPROVAL OF WARRANT
Councilman Suess moved and Councilman Prendiville seconded that Warrant No. 719 in the amount of
$894,305.60 be approved.

Councilman Scalzo moved and Councilman Suess seconded that the regular Wheaton City Council
Meeting be adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
