CITY OF WHEATON COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMISSION Minutes - Wednesday, April 19, 2017 I. Call to Order: by Co-Chair Vickie Miller 7:05 p.m II. Citizens to be heard: None IV. Approval of the minutes: from March 1, 2017. Ronnie Gillis moved, Renee Webb seconded and the mo- tion for approval carried. V. Continuing Business: A. Military Projects -- Bill Gilbertson — No Report B. Cultural Diversity – Bobby McNeily — Bobby indicated that everything was going smoothly for the “A World of Fun” event on May 21. He only needed the Commissioners to help with the set-up, to man the CRC tent and to assist with some of the games. C. Make a Difference Day – Renee Webb/Ronnie Gilles — No Report D. Serve Illinois/Cities of Service – Tony Lyons — No Report E. Good Citizens – Vickie Miller. — This year we received 16 individual nominations and one group nomina- tion for the Good Citizen Awards. After a thorough discussion and review of the candidates we selected 11 recipients for the award. A reception is scheduled for the attendees from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the Gamon Room on Monday, May 15. The awards will be presented immediately following the reception at the City Council Meeting. F. Treasurer’s Report—Erik Miller — No report G. Media Coordinator – Bobby McNeily — No Report VI.
