art/clay table. Reps/residents from Naperville, Glen Ellyn and Warrenville want
to do a similar event in their cities. Overall, great event. Any reimbursements
needed for this event, please submit asap. Thank you notes were sent to the
volunteers. Email/formal thank yous to be sent to
individuals/groups/vendors/other volunteers. Comms (Rachel) – great
engagement. 22 total pieces of content. 6 social posts. 660 engagements
across social media. Great press coverage across 5 outlets. Chamber of
Commerce, WPL and Wheaton Park District has been a great support across
social media and share in other media outlets.

partnership – created a page that contains their programs. Posting the page on
social media on a weekly basis. WPL Virtual Event on Tuesday, Oct. 12 – History
of Music in IL. This was posted to the City’s facebook page today. WCRC is not
sponsoring this even, but is helping to promote. Hosted a panel discussion on
Sept. 21 – great promotion of the event, most shared event. Overall attendance
was 50 people, 165 views of the event recording. Great unsolicited feedback.
VI. New Business –
a. Strategic Planning (Colleen) – November meeting (extended 7pm-9pm, hoping to move
to Oct. 27, with a zoom option) to be a brainstorming session. Review Commission
strategy. And each sub-committee lead come with their own plans/ideas. Other topics:
1) Membership – We are full at this time, but we should create an onboarding process
and create expectations of Commission members. We should also consider broader

participate for certain the event, but also year round. 2) Events – ideas for next year,
which to continue and new ideas. 3) Raise funds for the Commission.

fee is $200. We decorate on our own with our own supplies – decorations need to be
weather-proof. Meg motioned, Laura 2nd, unanimously approved. Nov. 12 (or 19) is the
day to decorate the reindeer.
c. Poinsettias (Katie) – Hold until next month to get an update on budget and also
determine who should receive a poinsettia. Action Item: Please come to the November
