I. Call to Order: Chairman Ted Witte called the meeting to order at 7:35.
Present were Cathy Coleman, Nancy Flynn, Tony Pope, and Bob Young. Attending on Zoom were
Shamili Ajgaonkar, Brian McKee, David Popham, and Allison Torrence. Absent were Tony Majszak,
Kay McKeen, and Christine Richardson.
II. Approval of Minutes:
Bob moved that the minutes from the February meeting be approved. Tony seconded. The minutes
were approved by unanimous voice vote.
III. Budget Report:
Bob reported that there were no new expenditures.
IV. Public Comment:
None
V. Reports:
1. Electronic Recycling (March 13): Bob reported that he, Brian, David, Kay, and four eWorks
employees manned the event. It was a very busy day. They collected about 20 gallons of cooking
oil, several hundred bulbs, and several gaylords of textiles.
VI. Upcoming Projects:
1. Electronics Recycling (April 10): part of the Extravaganza; will be held in commuter lot
2. Recycling Extravaganza (April 10): much help needed
3. Native Plant Sale (April 24): Tony reported that they are in good shape
4. Arbor Day (April 30): Jefferson Preschool
5. Honoraria (April 5)
VII. Unfinished Business:
1. Battery Recycling: still in planning stages
2. Green Citizen planning: criteria and process still need to be refined for future.
VIII. New Business:
Funding for EIC events: Cathy moved that we allocate up to $100 for incidentals for the Extravaganza.
Bob seconded. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
IX. Adjournment:
Cathy moved that the meeting be adjourned. Bob seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 8:05.
The next regular EIC meeting is scheduled for April 27, 2021, at 7:30 P.M.
