January 27, 2015
Minutes
1. Call to Order
President Bock called the meeting to order at 7:11. Those in attendance: Tony
Asta, Mike Bock, Dee Hicks and Kathy Young. Absent: Sarah Antas and Greg
Schrek.

None
3. New Business
A. President Bock welcomed new commission member Tony Asta.
B. It was moved by Dee and seconded by Tony that the agenda be approved as
presented. Motion passed
C. It was moved by Kathy and seconded by Mik to approve the November 24.
Motion was not passed due to a deletion. Minutes will be corrected and presented
at next meeting for approval.
D. New projects for consideration are:
Franklin Art Walk – banners to be placed in May.
Large Art Placement – Mike will check possible City locations as well as
insurance coverage. Suggestions were Adams Park and Cantiny
Cultural Fest – Tony will present a project plan at next meeting
Directory - Dee will check costs at Alpha Graphic. The logistic will be
discussed at next meeting
Chalk Fest – Kathy will send outline to Mike for review.
Folk Music in the Park – Bill will bring us up to date at next meeting
Banner Project – Dee has outline from last project and will bring copies to
next meeting.
E. Budget – We have a $5000 matching funds budget of which we have
approximately $750 credited to our account. Mike will check exact amount.
4. Old Business
Wheaton College Banner project. – banners are placed on Main street across from
the Burning Bush Gallery. Positioning not uniform. Greg will give us update at next
meeting.
5. Miscellaneous
Meeting adjourned at 8:01
Next Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 24.
