1. Call to Order
President Bock called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Those in attendance:
Sarah Antas, Tony Asta, Bill Austin, Mike Bock, Dee Hicks, Greg Schreck, and
Kathy Young. Special guest: David Maas. Absent: none

3. New Business
Sarah moved and Bill seconded the approval of the agenda. Passed.
This special meeting introduced Wheaton College Retired Professor David Maas,
who enlightened us on Wheaton College’s position during the Civil War and their
involvement with the Underground Railroad.
This Commission is gathering information to confirm existence of the railroad and
Wheaton’s position. Professor Maas suggested we talk with David Malone who
may be able to assist us in creating an educational vehicle about the underground
railroad. Mike will contact Mr. Malone.
