City of Wheaton Fine and Cultural Arts Commission City Hall January 31, 2018 Minutes 1. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm. Those in attendance: Sarah Antas, Tony Asta, Mike Bock, Dee Hicks, Laurie Oberhelman and Kathy Young. Bill Austin absent. 2._________Public Comment Nancy Flannery, Wheaton Historic Commission attended the meeting. Her Commission is working on golf project with Arrowhead and she is encouraging cooperation between the two Commissions. 3. New Business The agenda was approved. Moved by Kathy and seconded by Laurie The minutes from January 18 were approved. Moved by Mike and seconded by Tony. 4. Old Business The Historic Commission is planning a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 27 from 5:00- 7:00 at Arrowhead to kick off event. Nancy is working on a display to be housed at Arrowhead. We will coordinate her efforts with ours. Administration/Marketing/Ball Coordinator/Artists/Sponsorship/Reception/reported on progress. Mike will bring action plan up to date and send to Commissioners. Laurie will contact USGA per Nancy Flannery and plan to meet for coffee with Dee, Mike and anyone else who is available.
