City of Wheaton Fine and Cultural Arts Commission City Hall February 13, 2 018 Minutes 1. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 6:00. Attendees: Sarah Antas, Tony Asta, Bill Austin, Mike Bock, Dee Hicks, Laurie Oberhelman and Kathy Young. Guest: Alberta Adamson 2._________Public Comment None 3. New Business A Agenda was approved: Motion by Dee. Second by Tony B. Minutes from January 30 were approved. Motion by Mike. Second by Sarah C. Mike will send commissioners updates progress report relating to golf project. Discussion regarding sponsorship proceeded. Laurie will create new draft of sponsorship sell sheet and all commissioners made a pledge to start selling these golf balls. Mike informed us that the City will not underwrite costs for balls. The initial down payment is approximately $10,000. Dee will call upon John Rutledge and see if he will support our request from the City. Dee will work on details for possible library display. The Marketing Committee awaits approval of sell sheet before working with the City art department to create sell piece. The reception will be July 9 per recommendation from the USGA. Laura has attended joint meetings with the Library, History Commission, Park District and Arrowhead. The objective is to have coordinated efforts in bringing this special event to Wheaton residents and visitors. 5.. Miscellaneous Meeting adjourned at 7:17. Motion by Laurie.
