City of Wheaton Fine and Cultural Arts Commission City Hall May 9, 2018 Minutes 1. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 6:00. Those in attendance: Sarah Antas, Bill Austin, Mike Bock, Dee Hicks, Laurie Oberhelman and Kathy Young. Via phone: Tony Asta. 2._________Public Comment None 3. New Business A. The agenda was approved. Moved by Kathy, seconded by Sarah. B. The May 2 minutes were approved. Moved by Bill, seconded by Mike . C. July 14 is scheduled for Music in the Park. 4. Old Business Golf Project: A. Laurie announced that July 2will be proclaimed as “City of Wheaton Fine and Cultural Arts Commission’s “Wheaton’s Got Golf” 2018. This will be celebrated yearly on July 2. The Commission is to arrive at City Hall at 6:45 to receive this proclamation. B. 100 golf balls will be purchased for a “ball hunt” in Memorial Park during the first Saturday of Taste. Tony is looking into prices. C. Golf carts for 4th of July parade – Tony is checking with Arrowhead and/or Cantigny. D. Mike is checking with Vince regarding placement of large balls. E.. Dee is checking with Alberta about clothing our “dummies” F. Bill and Tony will work out possible showing at Burning Bush for winning artist. G. July 2 at 6:00 is scheduled date to stuff envelopes for reception. H. Set up at Arrowhead on July 9 at 3:00pm 5. Miscellaneous Meeting adjourned at 67:14. Next Meeting 5/16 at 6:00
