City of Wheaton Fine and Cultural Arts Commission City Hall June 6, 2028 Minutes 1. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. All Commissioners were present. 2._________Public Comment None 3. New Business A. Sports Center Situation: After learning of the sponsor’s decision not move forward with the ball painted by Keri Borkowicz and to bring in another artist for their ball the, commission made the decision to reprint all relevant materials with Keri’s name on it. It was also decided that Mike would follow directions from City’s legal department regarding Kari’s situation. B. Graffie paint Laurie will send a letter to the sponsors offering this protection paint for them to apply if desired. C. Golf Ball Hunt All the balls were found as far as we know and project was successful. D. Banners encouraging golf ball vote Will be placed in front of City Hall. E. Proclamation set for July 2 Laurie gave Commission rough draft for approval and/or alterations F. Parade Final float plan needs to be made. Need to work on logistics to move Community Ball from Park to parade route G. Reception a. Laurie sending invitee list to all commissioners for final review. We will use labels rather than hand address. b. Gift baskets and swag bags are being finalized. Laurie will let us know when we are assembling. c. locations for tables, hand-out/registration table need to be addressed d. Dee and Laurie will work on program e. Final room décor has to be arranged. As of now we need vintage clothes for mannequins. Kathy will try and contact Alberta for help. Dee will bring painted golf shoe with plant, ceramic golf ball, tees and golf balls. 4. Old Business A. Music In the Park Everything is ready to go. Flyers have been printed. 5.
