July 27,2021 Minutes Live I. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Those present: Sarah Antas, Mike Bock, Dave Duva, Dee Hicks, Laurie Oberhelman Absent: Tony Asta. II. Approval of agenda Mike Bock moved and Laurie Oberhelman seconded the approval of the agenda. Motion approved by unanimous voice vote. III. Public Comments N/C IV. Approval of Minutes Laurie Oberhelman moved and Sarah Antas seconded the approval of the minutes of June 22, 2021. Motion approved by unanimous voice vote. V. New Business Recognition: Kathy Young ‘s resignation will be tabled until next month. Fund Raising event: Dave and Sarah are still working on information flyer to use in soliciting funds from retailers. Our goal is 20 sponsors @ $250 per year. Commission Marketing: Tabled until next month. All the Commissioners feel that we need to become more visual and discussion is needed to work out a plan. VII Old Business Festival of Cultures: All projects moving forward on schedule. Fire Hydrant Project : Mike Bock has been not been able to finalize details with Rustoleulm to pick up donated paint. He will follow-up. Laurie Oberhelman moved that in case we need to purchase painting supplies for hydrant project we direct up to $1000 for such expense. Mike Bock seconded . Motion approved by unanimous voice vote. Laurie Oberhelman moved that if we do not collect sponsorship money to give artists we direct up to $2000 from our funds. Mike Bock seconded. Motion approved by unanimous vote. Music in the Park: The project was attended by approximately 100 people. Because of the rental expense, the budget was higher than expected. We might look into a change of venue for 2022. Art contest: Mike Bock is following up with distribution of check to high school student.
