January 25, 2021 Minutes, Wheaton City Hall I. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. Those present: Mike Bock, Dee Hicks Laurie Oberhelman Tony Asta and Dave Duve. Sarah Antas, Absent II. Approval of agenda Mike Bock moved and Laurie Oberhelman seconded the approval of the agenda. Motion approved by unanimous voice vote. III. Public Comments N/C IV. Approval of Minutes V. Laurie Oberhelman moved and Mike Bock seconded the approval of the minutes of October 26, 2021. Motion approved by unanimous voice vote. VI. New Business Fire Hydrant Project : Tabled until spring. Lock Project: Tabled until future meeting. World Wide Celebration of Music: To be held June 21, 2022. Debbie from COD has asked that we be one of the sponsors. Oxacas: Laurie Oberhelman moved and Dave Duve seconded that we sponsor the festival to be held this summer. Motion approved by unanimous voice vote. City of Wheaton Documents: We reviewed information and President Mike Bock suggested that we absorb information, make written comments to him, he will analyze and we will discuss at next meeting. VII. Old Business Festival of Cultures: To be held September 18 from 1:00-5:00. The Commission will become more pro-active in presenting this project. We will continue to sponsor a high school artist to design the event poster, plus sponsor the stage. We will continue our discussion regarding our involvement at our next meeting. Dave Duve moved and Laurie Oberhelman seconded that we adjourn at 6:54. Motion approved by unanimous voice vote. Respectfully submitted. Dee Hicks
