October 24, 2023 Minutes, City Hall I. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 600 p.m. . II. Roll Call Those present: Mike Bock, Dee Hicks, Laurie Swanson, Sarah Antas, Vittoria Clay, and Lewis Achenbach. Also present was Beri Ericson from the Wheaton Public Library. Absent: Randy King Agenda: Mike Bock moved, and Laurie Swanson seconded the approval of the agenda. Motion carried. III. Approval of Minutes: Sarah Antas moved to accept June 26, 2023 minutes. Lewis Achenbach seconded. Motion carried. IV. New Business: None V. Old Business We reviewed the 2023 City of Wheaton Annual Report and discussed the possibility of applying for grants offered by C.O.D. and The Arts of DuPage. Lewis enlightened us on Make Music Day to be held June 21, 2024. Lewis Achenbach moved that we allocate $325 for 2024 dues to the Make Music Foundation. Dee Hicks seconded. Motion carried. VI. Commissioner Comments: Mike Bock welcomed new Commissioner Vittoria Clay to our committee. Mike also acknowledged Laurie Swanson whose term is up this month. Laurie has been a great asset to this committee and will be missed a great deal. We wish her good luck in her new endeavor.
