FOREIGN FIRE TAX BOARD MEETING March 30, 2015 CALLED TO ORDER 10:02 Board Members Present: Chief Schultz, FF Ruck (left at 1035 for a call,) FF Hunecke, FF Baus, FF Gerdes, Lt. Weiss Others present: Asst. Chief Vassios Old Minutes The minutes from the February 13 2015 meeting were reviewed. A motion to accept the minutes by Chief Schultz was seconded by FF Ruck. The motion passed unanimously Treasurer’s Report FF Ruck provided a written report. FF Gerdes motioned to accept the report, and Chief Schultz seconded. The motion passed unanimously Public Comment Asst. Chief Vassios inquired about the fitness reimbursement program. FF Ruck informed him of the program. Agenda Additions None Old Business None New Business Station 37 work bench – We would like to purchase a work bench for station 37, that is similar to the one purchased for station 39. Lt. Weiss motioned to accept the proposal for a work bench at station 37 not to exceed $7300. FF Hunecke seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously Igara/Tabb smoke divers class – FF Ruck motioned to fund firefighters Igara and Tabb going to smoke divers class at IFSI. The motion is for funds not to exceed $1500 for tuition, and lodging. The motion was seconded by FF Gerdes. The motion passed unanimously  Annual internet service – The COWGUEST wifi is due for renewal on May 1st. Chief Schultz motioned to table this until the next meeting, so he can look into this matter further. The motion was seconded by FF Hunecke. The motion passed unanimously Good of the order FF Hunecke is trying to find a mat for the work station at station 39. Elections – The 2 year term for Lt. Weiss, FF Gerdes, and FF Ruck are up. FF Hunecke has only received interest from 3 people. If no one else shows interest in the open positions, an election will be unnecessary. Station sound systems – Station 39 sound system went out to bid on Friday. Once that station is completed, we will assess and determine if we would like to proceed with the other stations.
