FOREIGN FIRE TAX BOARD MEETING August 6, 2015 CALLED TO ORDER 0809 Board Members Present: Chief Schultz, FF Ruck, Lt. Hunecke, FF Baus, FF Igara, Others present: Asst. Chief Vassios from 0811 – 0827, and 0830 - adjournment Old Minutes The minutes from the May 26 2015 meeting were reviewed. A motion to accept the minutes by Chief Schultz was seconded by Lt. Hunecke. The motion passed unanimously Treasurer’s Report FF Ruck provided a written treasurers report, and a detailed report of participating members in the fitness reimbursement program. FF Ruck informed us that our checking account is no longer accruing interest so he is looking into other checking accounts. He also informed us that the city would now like monthly reporting from the treasurer instead of bi-monthly. FF Baus motioned to accept the report, and FF Igara seconded. The motion passed unanimously Public Comment - None Agenda Additions - Approval of reimbursement checks to be issued to FF Cox, Lt. Kitihata, and Lt. Mcdonnell. Lt. Hunecke motioned to approve checks in the amounts of $99, $354, and $444 respectively. Chief Schultz seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously Old Business - New Yorker helmets - Tabled until we get a sample New Business Ear plugs (Cha) – Tabled to next meeting. Sound systems at 37 & 38 – Upgrades are done at station 39 and the system is working significantly better than before. To update station 37 it will cost around $7000 and station 38 will cost about $4000. FF Ruck motioned to start these projects in December of this year, not to exceed $11000 total. Lt. Hunecke seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously Engine shelves – Lt Hunecke motioned to purchase 2 additional shelves for two of the “Puck” engines not to exceed $2100, with Chief Schultz purchasing 2 additional shelves for the third “Puck” engine. The motion was seconded by FF Igara. The motion passed unanimously Wireless headsets (Igara) – This issue has been tabled until FF Igara does more research on other headset options. Station 39 Lt. desk – Lt. Hunecke motioned to purchase new office furniture for the Lt.’s office at station 39 not to exceed $2500. FF Ruck seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously Garmin/back-up cameras – Lt. Hunecke motioned to purchase 4 new Garmin navigation units (the unit for tower 38 is to have the back-up camera option) not to exceed $1300. FF Baus seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously Pedestal fans (Ruck) – Chief Schultz will purchase 1 pedestal fan for station 39. Kitchen table materials – Lt Hunecke motioned to purchase materials for custom tables to be made at stations 38 and 39 not to exceed $1200. FF Igara seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously Good of the order - Lt. Hunecke is checking into getting “Plymovents” at all 3 stations, and possibly getting grants for them. Adjournment at 0916 - motioned by Lt.
