Friday, November 20th, 2020 Wheaton Fire Station 38 Conference room 0730 hours I. Call to Order - 0733 II. Roll Call – Chief Schultz, Lt. Hunecke, FF Baus, FF Tabb (via phone,) FF Igara (via phone,) FF Ruck (via phone,) AC Vassios III. Reading and Approval of Old Minutes – The minutes were read from the 2/27/20 meeting. Lt. Hunecke motioned to approve the minutes, and FF Baus seconded the motion. The voice vote passed unanimously. IV. Treasurer’s report – FF Igara presented the treasurers report with Lt. Hunecke. FF Baus motioned to approve the report with FF Ruck seconding the motion. The voice vote passed unanimously. V. Public Comment – N/A VI. Agenda Additions – Replacement parts for grills – Discussion was had about the current condition of the grills, and the need to replace some parts. E.G. grates, flavor bars, etc. FF Ruck motioned to approve the purchase of replacement grill parts not to exceed $2,000, with FF Tabb seconding the motion. The voice vote passed unanimously. VII. Old Business – N/A VIII. New Business a. Replacement Rain gear – Lt. Felker proposed replacing our old rain gear with new high vis gear. Chief Schultz motioned to approve the purchase of new raincoats and liners not to exceed $16,000, and FF Tabb seconded the motion. We will be getting quotes and samples soon. The voice vote passed unanimously.  b. Fitness Reimbursements – 4 members submitted to be reimbursed for fitness memberships. Under the guidelines, 2 members partially met the criteria while the other 2 fully met the criteria. Lt. Hunecke motioned to approve payment where criteria were properly met, with FF Baus seconding the motion. Discussion was had about possibly changing wording in the policy to clear up some confusion. The voice vote passed unanimously. c. Hose testing – Lt Hunecke motioned to pay $4,731.75 for this year’s hose testing, with FF Ruck seconding the motion. Discussion was had about hose testing, hose testing companies, and how we may proceed in the future. The voice vote passed unanimously. d. 38 Kitchen design – Lt. Hunecke motioned to approve design services for the kitchen in station 38 not to exceed $8,000. FF Tabb seconded the motion. The voice vote passed unanimously. IX. Good of the Order – Some general discussion was had. X. Adjournment – Lt. Hunecke motioned to adjourn at 0812, with Chief Schultz seconding the motion. The voice vote passed unanimously. 2
