Overview of changes to new Wheaton Fire Department Foreign Fire Insurance Board By
Law.
Hunecke request board members to review changes and look for areas that can be
bolstered or further edited. Hunecke vocalized the possibility of requiring an attorney to
review the new By Laws after we have finalized all changes.

b. Cordless Vacuums: (0811 hrs) Hunecke speaking on Sellers’ behalf (not present).
Motion to purchase four[4] units (one unit at 37, one unit at 39, two units at 38) not to
exceed $1,800.00: Hunecke.

Discussion:
Recommendation to look for a cordless vacuum system with incorporated base
charger and wall mount system.

- Will one day of training suffice?
- Does the Bail Out Bags need to be provided by the City of Wheaton per the

Bags and training by Elevated Safety?

- Price for gas ranges and backguards include removal of old units. Proper
removal of the old units off the City of Wheaton’s inventory may be

powerwasher. Proposition is to replace with an electric vs gasoline powerwasher.

i. Scene Lights: (0818 hrs) Renteria proposition for Streamlight Portable Scene Lights for the
fire apparatus.
Motion to purchase up to six[6] Steamlight Portable Scene Lights not to exceed
$4,000.00:

Discussion:
- The purpose of this purchase is to replace one of the existing corded quartz
lights on the fire apparatus. Each Wheaton FD fire apparatus will still retain
one corded quartz light and have the new addition of the portable scene
light.
- Can this be a replacement to the large telescoping Pelican/Streamlights?
- Will the Streamlight Portable Scene Light fit in T38’s compartment?

being vulnerable to damage with past pagers.
