LOCAL LIQUOR CONTROL COMMISSION May 14, 2015 I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL VOTE Mr. Kozik called the May 14, 2015 Local Liquor Control Commission meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Wheaton City Hall, 303 West Wesley Street. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair Taylor, Commissioner Pearse, Commissioner Sender, Commissioner Wolgemuth. Absent: None. City Staff Present: James P. Kozik, Director of Planning and Economic Development. II. PUBLIC COMMENT There was no public comment. III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – April 9, 2015 Commissioner Wolgemuth moved and Commissioner Pearse seconded a motion to approve the minutes of the April 9, 2015 Local Liquor Control Commission meeting as submitted. On a voice vote, all voted aye. IV. NEW BUSINESS Class A Liquor License/FIU Enterprises LLC d.b.a. Fire It Up/1060 College Avenue Mr. Rick Van Buren, owner of Fire It Up Taco’s introduced himself and his wife. He stated that the business began as a food truck that grew to a brick and mortar establishment in Naperville with the proposed College Avenue space as their second location. Mr. Van Buren stated that their Naperville store has been opened a year and a half. When questioned by Chair Taylor, Mr. Van Buren Stated that all employees are BASSETT trained as well as trained using their own training manuals. Hearing no questions or comments, Commissioner Wolgemuth moved and Commissioner Pearse seconded a motion to recommend to the City Council that Class A Liquor License be issued to FIU Enterprises LLC d.b.a. Fire It Up at 1060 College Avenue. On a roll call vote, all voted aye. V. MISCELLANEOUS There was no miscellaneous business. VI. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 7:48 P.M.
