NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Wheaton Planning and Zoning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Wheaton City Hall, 303 West Wesley Street, Wheaton, Illinois, to consider the following zoning application: Zoning Application #18-05. An application requesting a special use permit to allow a 1,085-square foot one and one-half story detached garage to be constructed at 1004 Wheaton Place. Article 24.3.1 of the Wheaton Zoning Ordinance requires a special use permit to allow the construction of a detached garage over 700 square feet in size. The application is further requesting a variation to Article 3.4A.8b of the Wheaton Zoning Ordinance to allow a rear yard setback of 5.0 feet in lieu of the required 10.0 feet. Both existing detached garages would be demolished. The application has been submitted by Benjamin and Kelly Eddy, 1004 Wheaton Place, Wheaton, IL 60187. The subject property is legally described as: THE SOUTH 125 FEET OF LOT 6 IN THE RESUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 1, OF JESSE C. WHEATON, JR’S ADDITION TO WHEATON, A SUBDIVISION OF PART OF THE SOUTHWEST ¼ OF THE SOUTHWEST ¼ OF SECTION 9 AND A PART OF THE SOUTHWEST ¼ OF SECTION 8, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH, RANGE 10 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT OF SAID RESUBDIVISION RECORDED APRIL 24, 1924 AS DOCUMENT 176794, IN DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS. The subject property is commonly known as 1004 Wheaton Place, Wheaton, IL 60187. P.I.N. 05-09-316-009 At the public hearing, anyone wishing to make a public statement will be encouraged to do so.
