WHEATON CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING MONDAY, MAY 29, 2018 ZONING APPLICATION #18-09 I. Call to Order and Roll Call The public hearing of the Wheaton City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. The public hearing was held in the Council Chambers, Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley Street, Wheaton, Illinois. Upon roll call, the following were: Present: Mayor Gresk Councilman Barbier Councilwoman Fitch Councilman Prendiville Councilman Rutledge Councilman Scalzo Councilman Suess Absent: None City Staff Present: Michael Dzugan, City Manager John Duguay, Assistant City Manager James Kozik, Director of Planning & Economic Development Susan Bishel, Public Relations Coordinator Motion Carried Unanimously II. Public Hearing – ZA #18-09/ Annexation/ 1409 S. Gables Boulevard/ Kennedy A. Presentation John Kennedy, 2112 Summit, stated he and his wife purchased this lot 2 years ago and now have plans to build a home. They are requesting annexation because it’s one of two remaining lots in the area that are not yet within City limits, and they are seeking to receive City water and sewer service. B. Public Comment There was no public comment. C. Council Comment In response to Councilman Rutledge’s question about why this property has not yet been incorporated but has an incorporated address, Director of Planning & Economic Development Kozik stated he does not know why it has an address like an incorporated property but is not yet incorporated. In response to Councilman Suess’s question, Director of Planning & Economic Development Kozik stated the property to the west is unincorporated but also has an incorporated address. II.
