NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Wheaton Planning and Zoning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 7:00
p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Wheaton City Hall, 303 West Wesley Street, Wheaton, Illinois, in-

application:
Zoning Application #26-14. An application requesting an amendment to a special use permit for a
building devoted to religious worship to allow the renovation of the existing building and the
construction and use of an addition totaling 34,000 square feet (including basement, first floor and
second floor spaces), with a reconfiguration of existing parking areas resulting in a net increase of 3
parking stalls, all on property commonly known as 900 E. Geneva Road.
The application has been submitted by the property owner, The Islamic Center of Wheaton, 900 E.
Geneva Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
The property that is the subject of the variation is legally described as:
LOT 1 (EXCEPT THE WEST 957.5 FEET) IN GAUGER’S ASSESSMENT PLAT NO. 2 OF THE EAST HALF OF THE
NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 9, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH, RANGE 10 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL
MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED NOVEMBER 21, 1947 AS DOCUMENT 534620,
IN DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

The subject property is commonly known as 900 E. Geneva Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
At the public hearing, anyone wishing to make a public statement will be encouraged to do so. Written
comments may be submitted to the Board prior to or at the public hearing. A copy of the application is
available for review in the office of the Director of Planning and Economic Development, 303 West Wesley
Street, Wheaton, Illinois, during normal business hours.
