NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Wheaton Planning and Zoning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Wheaton City Hall, 303 West Wesley Street, Wheaton, Illinois, in-person and via zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_jxiIGr-OS2-Qs7w1v6DMcQ at or dial (312) 626-6799, Meeting ID: 854 6490 3044, Passcode: 603009 to consider the following zoning application: Zoning Application #26-15. An application requesting an amendment to a special use permit for a building devoted to religious worship to allow the expansion of the existing parking lot from 89 to 148 parking spaces, all on property commonly known as 1300 S. President Street. The application is further requesting the subdivision of 902 E. Dawes Avenue into two lots. Proposed Lot 1 (northern portion with the house) would be 50.0 feet wide by 179.63 feet deep and proposed Lot 2 (southern portion) would be 50 feet wide by 120.37 feet deep. Variations to Article 9.2.4 and Article 9.2.2a of the Wheaton Zoning Ordinance are requested for proposed Lot 1 to allow a width of 50.0 feet in lieu of the required 70.0 feet and a lot size of 8,981 square feet in lieu of the required 10,000 square feet. The application is further requesting the rezoning of 1300 S. President Street (parcel 3) and the southern portion of 902 E. Dawes (parcel 4) from the R-3 Residential District to the I-2 Institutional District and the consolidation of these parcels with the larger church property at 1300 S. President Street (parcel 1).
