Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board Saturday, November 14, 2015 10 A.M. Washington Elementary, south parking lot (approximately 3rd Street and Hydraulic) Wichita, Kansas 67214 Event Description The purpose of the Wichita Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board Bikeways Tour is to provide an opportunity for the board members to experience and discuss the new bikeways and bicycling conditions in Wichita. It is estimated that the tour will last approximately 2.5 hours and there are multiple planned stops along the tour. Staff from the Wichita- Sedgwick County Metropolitan Area Planning Department will lead the tour. Route The planned route for the tour is approximately 20 miles and will start near the intersection of 3rd Street and Hydraulic. The planned route for the tour is described below a map of the panned route is provided on the following page. The route is subject to change depending on weather, pace of the tour, and route conditions. Starting at the parking lot at 3rd Street and Hydraulic, travel east along 3rd Street to the I-135 Path; then north along the I-135 Path to the Redbud Path; east along the Redbud Path to Woodlawn and the Armour Bicycle Boulevard; south along the Armour Bicycle Boulevard to Rockwood Road; west along Rockwood Road to High Drive; south along High Drive to Norfolk Drive; west along Norfolk to Woodlawn and 2nd Street; west along 2nd Street to Estelle Street; south along Estelle Street to 1st Street; east along 1st Street to Volutsia Street; south along Volutsia Street to Kellogg Drive North; east along Kellogg Drive North to the pedestrian bridge over Kellogg; south along the bridge to Chautauqua; south along Chautauqua to Menlo Street; west along Menlo Street to Ash Street; north on Ash Street to the pedestrian bridge over I- 135; west along the bridge to the I-135 Path; north along the path to 2nd Street; west along 2nd Street to Wichita Street; south along Wichita Street to 1st Street; west along 1st Street to McLean Bouelvard and 2nd Street; west along 2nd Street to Dodge Avenue; turn-around and travel east along 2nd Street to Mclean and 1st Street; east along 1st Street to Market Street; north along Market Street to Murdock Street; east along Murdock Street to Topeka Avenue; south along Topeka Avenue to 1st Street; east along 1st Street to Hydraulic Avenue; north along Hydraulic Avenue to 3rd Street.
